Ayora Bull Run
Every August Ayora holds over a week of traditional Bull Runs. The main streets are partitioned off for this exciting event where bulls are released to run through the streets and the local people test their skills in chasing it. It is regarded as a great honour to take part in this tradition. The atmosphere is electrifying with plenty of stalls and a fair ground. Every evening there is plenty to do with the bars staying open till the very early morning. It is important to note that there is no harm done to the animals during this event.
